Did Britney Hire a Private Investigator to Follow Kevin?
Britney Spears may be taking her custody fight with Kevin Federline one step further. The embattled pop princess has reportedly hired a private investigator to dig up the dirt on K-Fed.
Kevin's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan is saying that Kevin isn't concerned about her latest move, but he's got some wise words for Brit.
"The best strategy in any case is to focus on the positives of your side," Kaplan told "Extra," "and not hang your case on trying to find something that might not be positive on the other side."
Meanwhile, Brit has also taken certain “security measures“ to protect her boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Her attorney, Sorrell Trope, released a statement saying, “Recent aggressive actions by individuals who have followed (Spears) and blocked her access, with and without the children, have resulted in her decision to take certain security measures which she hopes will only be necessary temporarily, for the protection of the children.”
Trope didn't reveal what those measures would be. Brit has, however, reportedly hired a driver following a judge's decision that she can't drive the kids.
Britney might need all the driving help she can get right now. Paparazzi captured Brit behind the wheel of her white Mercedes on a crowded street yesterday – and she appeared to be texting. She also appeared to run a red light, in broad daylight, for the second time.
“No one feels good about anyone running a red light," Kaplan said. "The unfortunate thing is when that kind of overwhelming presence of paparazzi happens with some frequency, people tend to make judgment calls which may or may not be the best. I think the best idea is to do whatever one can to avoid the opportunity for that to occur.”
As for Kevin keeping the kids away from the paparazzi onslaught, Kaplan added, “He takes great means to not having the children with him in public and having paparazzi surround him."
