Update: Hulk Hogan's Son Released from Hospital
Hulk Hogan's son Nick, who was seriously injured in what cops called a “spectacular” car crash, has been released from a Florida hospital.
Nick, 17, also known as Nick Bollea, was discharged today from Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida after crashing his Toyota Supra and wrapping it around a palm tree.
His passenger, John Graziano, 22, is still in critical condition.
Officials say Nick, a professional driver, was driving at a “high rate of speed” when he lost control of his car.
Firefighters had to extract the two young men from the destroyed car, and a worried Hulk – real name Terry Bollea – surveyed the scene and talked with paramedics.
Nick's professional driving team has issued the following statement to “Extra”: “Mopar is an associate sponsor of Nick Hogan's drifting competition vehicle. We were saddened to hear of Nick's accident. Our hearts and prayers are with the Hogan family.”
No charges have been filed, and investigators say there is no evidence he was drag racing or drifting at the time of the crash.
Today there are new reports that Nick was cited for speeding just two weeks before the accident.
The reality TV star was reportedly cited for traveling 82 mph in a 45 mph zone in Florida and for not wearing a seatbelt.
