Beyoncé on Her Near Tragic Fall Onstage
Wearing a bright smile and a bandage on her leg, Beyoncé made her first TV appearance since her frightening fall onstage in Orlando last month. The star was in New York City to launch her new fragrance, Emporio Armani Diamonds.
AJ: Did you ever think you falling would turn into such a big story?
Beyoncé: No, I didn't actually. I was so in shock and in so much pain I didn't think about that. I knew it would end up on YouTube, and I've fallen before, but it was pre-YouTube. Now I know every time I fall or anyone falls, it's going to be on TV. I know I'm going to fall again, and I'm not afraid of that because I always get back up. It's a part of life.
AJ: Definitely you got back up, you look wonderful. Tell me about your fragrance.
Beyoncé: I'm one of those girls that wears fragrance to bed. I love fragrance.
AJ: Has Jay had a chance to smell the fragrance yet?
Beyoncé: Umm, no, he hasn't.
AJ: So you're up for seven awards at next month's MTV Video Music Awards.
Beyoncé: It's amazing. I'm just excited to be nominated. I don't think I'm going to be performing this year, which is good because I'll just be able to relax and enjoy the show.
AJ: And you're competing against Jay-Z for the new "Quadruple Threat" Award.
Beyoncé: I am?
AJ: Yes! It's a new category.
Beyoncé: I didn't know that!
With a top selling concert store and a new perform, it looks like the summer of Beyoncé is hotter than ever.
