Farrah Fawcett's Cancer Is Back
Brave Farrah Fawcett is battling cancer once again, and the star came only to “Extra” to confirm her new heartbreak.
The news comes just three months after doctors declared her cancer free.
Despite feeling back to her old self, doctors discovered a tiny new cancerous polyp during Farrah's routine 3-month checkup.
Still, the courageous actress is going to fight.
There is some good news – Farrah told “Extra” she will not have to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments again.
Instead, doctors are trying a revolutionary new treatment.
They'll place a small, metallic seed in the cancerous area, which emits radiation and will hopefully destroy the growth.
It's the same treatment that Rudy Giuliani received for his prostate cancer – and it worked!
That's exactly what longtime love Ryan O'Neal is hoping for, and it's their love that gives Farrah strength.
“We were together for 17 years,” she said. “We have a son together. There are things that never go away.”
Farrah also has another strong ally: her “Charlie's Angels” co-star Jaclyn Smith. Jaclyn recently told “Extra” how Farrah dealt with her first cancer scare.
“She's handling this like she handles everything in her life, with her strength and courage and a positive attitude,” Jaclyn said.
