Famous Couples Take Over New York's Most Glamorous Night
Glamour, gossip and gorgeous gowns!
“Extra” was in the middle of all the action Monday night at the Costume Institute's annual gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where all of the world's most beautiful women were on display, including Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez.
Gorgeous Salma Hayek made an appearance with her latest fashion accessory – her baby bump! She arrived with her fiancé and was dressed to kill at nearly eight months pregnant.
Lindsay Lohan arrived with designer Brian Atwood. But tongues started wagging when “Extra” spotted her with British model Calum Best later in the evening.
Jessica Simpson arrived just before Lindsay, and she snuck out later with her man John Mayer.
Gisele Bundchen, the new face of Yves St. Laurent, came with NFL hottie Tom Brady, while Hilary Swank brought along designer Donatella Versace.
A curvier Kate Bosworth snuggled with her man, British model James Rousseau, and “Grey's Anatomy” star Ellen Pompeo made the scene with her fiancé, Christopher Ivery.
But one of the most exciting parts of the night was an actual engagement! Stunned fans cheered as Nick Cannon got down on one knee, and proposed to his girlfriend, Victoria's Secret supermodel Selita Ebanks!
Meanwhile, the brave and beautiful Sandra Bullock made her first public appearance since a woman was arrested for trying to run down her husband, Jesse James, outside their California home.
Putting concerns to rest, Sandra said, “Everyone's fine, everyone's totally fine.”
Among the walking wounded were Debra Messing and Molly Simms, who both arrived with bandages.
Molly told “Extra” she fell doing a stunt on the set of “Las Vegas” and needed eight stitches.
Ah, just another night out with the stars.
