A 'Dancing' Pro's Dancing Nightmare?
Paired with boxing great Laila Ali this season, it's hard to believe doctors once told the “Dancing” stud he might never be able to dance again.
“The doctors said hopefully the best outcome is that I'll be walking with a little bit of a limp,” Maksim told our Tanika Ray.
Maks opened up exclusively to “Extra,” showing us the scars that remind him every day of the accident that changed his life.
“When I was 13, I broke my leg skiing,” he recalls. “It was a huge reconstruction surgery; I had a metal rod in my leg.”
Now that the seasoned professional is once again taking the “Dancing” world by storm, he's also teaming up with fellow pros Kym Johnson and Ashly Del Grosso to help viewers overcome their own fitness challenges.
The toned trio is taking over the dance floor in their new “Dancing with the Stars Cardio Dance” workout DVD.
“You get into it,” said Kym, who is partnered with Joey Fatone this season. “You kind of want to go around the house going, 'Wooo!'”
One of the best parts of the workout is you don't need a partner or experience to get your hips swaying and feet moving.
“Anyone can do it,” Kym promised.
So whether you prefer the Cha Cha, Samba or the Salsa, you'll be shedding the pounds and ruling the dance floor in no time!
