Mel Gibson unleashed a profanity laced salvo Thursday night, all while cameras snapped furiously to capture his heated moment.
The surreal scene unfolded as Mel met with a group of students at Cal State Northridge.
According to TMZ.com, Gibson went mad after assistant professor Alicia Estrada called his portrayal of Mayan culture in “Apocolypto" racist.
"My question to him was who he had studied and if he had included in his studies contemporary Mayan writings," Estrada revealed.
That’s why Mel reportedly let loose and told the professor to “F*** off.”
On Friday, Gibson’s rep Alan Neirob told “Extra,” “This person was a heckler who was rude and disrupted the event, so much so that the event organizers had to escort her out.”
But now, she's asking Mel to apologize to her and the university, who she said was "very much offended."
This heated incident comes just as Mel was making strides to rebuild his reputation, which was shattered by his infamous post-DUI arrest anti-Semitic tirade.
