Inside Oscar's Battle for Best Dressed
Nicole Kidman chose red Balenciaga, a Valentino clad Cameron rocked white, Penélope Cruz blushed in Versace, Rachel Weisz shined in Vera Wang and Beyoncé and Cate donned Armani Prive.
Only “Extra” got the inside scoop on the red carpet couture creations from Ella Moss designer Pamela Protzel.
“I love it, I think she looks great,” Protzel said of Nicole's red bowed gown.
It was a night to shine for “Dreamgirl” Jennifer Hudson, who rocked the Oscars in Oscar de la Renta and a snakeskin bolero jacked that had everyone talking!
“She has a daring little caplet going on, it's a little 'Star Trek,'” Tanika admitted.
Reese Witherspoon was sleek and chic in her strapless, tiered deep purple Nina Ricci number.
And you won't believe where the beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow found her gorgeous Zac Posen gown: the Internet!
Jennifer Lopez was one of the night's showstoppers in a light lilac jeweled Marchesa gown.
“She definitely has a classic, retro vintage look,” Pamela said. “She is just complete sex appeal; she's just absolutely a red carpet goddess.
Meanwhile, it was definitely a rush of blush on this year's Oscar red carpet, as Beyoncé shimmied in a light green Armani, while classic beauty Kate Winslet was the picture of elegance in a sea foam one-shouldered Valentino.
Past Oscar winner Rachel Weisz looked beautiful in a platinum, jewel-encrusted Vera Wang gown and Penélope Cruz was drop dead gorgeous in a form fitting Versace dress.
“Incredibly dramatic; she is a Spanish goddess,” Pamela and Tanika gushed.
Oscar nominee Cate Blanchett sparkled in a metallic gunmetal Armani gown, which proved to be another red carpet trend in shades of blue.
Portia de Rossi cheered on Ellen in a navy Zac Posen, while “Devil Wears Prada” star Emily Blunt looked devilishly good in Calvin Klein.
When we caught up with “Dreamgirl” Anika Noni Rose, she glittered from head to toe thanks to her $500,000 Stuart Weitzman diamond sandals.
Speaking of diamonds, the rocks rocked the red carpet at the 79th Annual Academy Awards.
From Kidman's 375 carat L'Wren Scott Diamond cuffs to Celine Dion's diamond snake bracelet, there was no shortage of bling for the Oscar king and queen.
But who nabbed this year's honors of best dressed?
Well, let's break it down this way:
Best shoes: Anika Noni Rose of “Dreamgirls” in Stuart Weitzman
Best jewelry: Nicole's 375 carat diamond cuff by L'Wren Scott
And the best dressed award goes to Reese Witherspoon in Nina Ricci.
